hello, back to how i end up in seoul.. if you have not read the first one you can read it here
itinerary (and a little bit of diary part II)
day 5-9 it's not full packed like day 1-4 :D oh, and fyi guys my friends and i often started to go somewhere not too early, at 9am and cameback around 9~10pm at the hostel.
Day 5
Ewha Women Univ. (Ewha Woman st line 2, exit 2 or 3)
we already came to seoul this far, so why not go strolling to their univ? hehehe. from the subway exit, we walked down for 20 minutes because lots of shops everywhere on the street.. we couldn't resist the shops so we ended bought some in artbox, a'pieu, and other stores. there's lots of street foods around too.. if you guys just walk down without stop, it only takes about 5 minutes to Ewha women univ. the building of the university was beautiful.. there was garden in the front and glass building.
cherry blossom greeted us! |

Hongdae shopping street (Hongik univ. st line 2 exit 9)
this street has similar vibes with Myeongdong. but hongdae was more crowded in the afternoon.. hongdae is popular for their clubs and shops. but i didn't go clubbing there (of course..hahahaha). we saw some clubs in here, but they asked for entrance fee (mostly package deal with the drink too). i bought another odeng here, but the taste wasn't as tasty as in namdaemun market >,< as we walked around the area, we saw group of people circled around. we got curious to see what's there.. so apparently a rookie girl group called oh my girl was filming a show (one of the member shouted, "anyeonghaseyo, oh my girl imnida..")! but because none of us really know the girlband, we decided to pass (sorry oh my girl fans). that was my first time also saw someone like fansite photographer, with huge ass camera was running to oh my girl. we continue to shop aroung hongdae, and i realized that shoes here often sale and the original price was cheaper too than in indonesia. but if it was discount shoes, you should ask first if there's any size you want coz they often made it sale because only some sizes left so it gets really cheap.

Itaewon Seoul Central Masjid (Itaewon st line 6 exit 3)
Travelling in Seoul made me really thankful that i live in Indonesia. frankly speaking, it's a bit hard to search for empty spot to do prayer here. of course there wasn't any musholla (except in nami island). so we decided to try to go here. after arriving to exit 3, we still need to walk for about 520m (yeah it's a bit far).. go straight from the exit, you will pass two stalls of turkish ice cream (we bought one for, us too hehe), then turn right.. go straight again a bit far, and there will be a big street on your left (if you see moslem woman or eastern looking people, just follow them cause there's big chance that they will go to that street.. i was following moslem woman to because i got lost for secs). and take the street on your left, go straight again (the street is incline) just continue to go straight until you see on your left white-blue typical masjid building.. and tadaaa.. you've arrived!!
ps. if my explanation is too hard for you, you can check this link . they have the pics of the intersection! :D
for women, the prayer room is upstair.. you can change your shoes to masjid's sandals under the stairs. the stair is on the left of the door in pic below. the wudhu place is behind the main masjid building, after you take the first stairs, go to the right side.. there will be a small door. but unfortunately when i wudhu here, the hot water wouldn't come out (it's spring, the temperature was about 10~15 C), the toilet tissue was empty, and the toilet was a bit dirty.. (sorry :( but it's the truth)

Maple Tree Restaurant Itaewon
we often heared that korean bbq taste best, so we decided to buy some even though the price was so expensive for our pocket, it was worthed to try!! one portion of bbq was around 13000won ~ 30000won depend on how many grams meat you will buy.
Hangang river via Dongjak st
you literally can stop everywhere to go to hangang. but the subway we choosed to stop, it was really far from the public places around hangang (the artificial colorful waterfall) and sooo dark.. the dongjak st was near to the sport area. you will see lots of people bicycling, running, fast-walking, roller blade, etc here. we asked man with bicycle by showed him the pic we wanna go to because we were hesitating. but to go to the waterfall was soooo faraway.. we walk almost 1 hour while it was really dark *sob sob*. we finally arrived at the waterfall place around 9.20pm and only got to see the waterfall a bit because it stops at 10pm *crying inside*. after one hour there, we wanted to go home, because we're so tired after, we didn't want to walk to the dongjak st again.. we didn't know where was the nearest subway from the place. we asked 2 guys on the bench the way, they not really good at english, but they tried their best to help us by showing translation of what they wanted to inform us on their phone :')
ps. you can consider to stop at Yeouinaru Stn. (Line 5, Exit 2 or 3)
if you go here at night, make sure you don't arrive late like me.. huhu :'(
if you lost, ask the people around you.. they will happily help you even when they limited in english.

Day 7
Hallyu K-Star road (Apgujeong Rodeo St, Bundang Line, EXIT 1)
This is literally kpoppers place! from the exit, you will see big gangnam doll (looks like cute bear, thouuu :D) this mark the first doll of hallyu k-star road. we walked following the doll place. there were the gangnamdol of popular kpop bands like 2pm, tvxq, exo, superjunior, b1a4, bts, miss a, snsd, etc. some of the gangnamdol has signature of the members <3
1. JYP
this is the nearest agency from the kstar road.. we walked for 10~20minutes and finally arrived at JYP ent. we went there when it was Sunday and raining.. so it wasn't crowded. jyp ent location is really strategic.. right across the agency is dunkin donuts and the other side is minimarket. if you want to wait for the artists you can comfortably snacking here haha :p sadly we didn't meet them..
K-FOOD
not far from jyp ent, there's a restaurant named K-FOOD. they sell basic korean foods like bimbimbap, tteokbokki, rice, etc. the price here is not expensive too :D so we ate here~ the bimbimbap was sooo tasty.. unlike the bimbimbap i've tasted in korean restaurant in my region *sorry* but i still didn't eat the kimchee and pickles thouuu :p the robbokki and fried rice were a bit spicy but my Indonesian tounge still can handle it.
ps. most korean restaurant serves plain water freely, you just need to ask where is the dispenser or the glass if you haven't see it~

Actually, we wanted to go to SM ent, but we just passed FNC ent.. FNC ent was famously known as the agency of CNBLUE, AOA, juniel, FT Island, etc. there was some chinese fans in front of the agency and we could saw that there's a meeting inside the see-through building.
ps. i didn't remember the road i took to get here.. maybe you can find it here
3. SM ENT
not far from FNC ent, although we were a bit lost and then found the sign of sment parking area *finally* we went to the front side of the sment building. the road in front of the building was empty.. and there was an open park with sport tools for public across the sment. we took photos in front the sment sign and chit chat for a bit. when we were about to cross the road, we saw artist van so we decided to wait because there's little chance that there would be an artist coming out. and.... tadaaa... we saw grey-haired taeyeon snsd and a short-haired woman rushing to enter the sment building. lucky! even though it was only some seconds hahahaha~
SM pop up store @ coex mall (Seoul st, Line 2 Exit 5 or 6)
heaven for sm stans = sm pop up store! they sell sm artists souvenirs, but it's so expensive lol. there's a big tv in the level 3 lobby that showed sm artist mv.
Garosugil (Sinsa St, Line 3, Exit 8)
Olympic park (Olympic park St, Line 5)
Olympic park location is far on the edge of subway map lol. but because our friends we met at hostel said that lots of cherry blossom around there, we decided to give it a go. there's olympic plaza located across the stadium. we went to the plaza to have lunch then took photos at the small road next to olympic apartment. when we were chit chatting, elderly couple suddenly greeted us and said that we are beautiful and thought that we're still high school *we were so happy and thankful for the praise hehe* korean people are so straightforward wkwkwk
Hello Kitty Cafe Hongdae (Hongik St, Line 2 Exit 9)
do you like hello kitty? most of you guys will say yes for sure.. after another tiring day, we rest here. almost lost again near the hongik univ, we asked a shop staff near there. he was confused to tell the directions, and we were confused too which road should we go turn left to, he ended up took us until the cafe seen *thank youu :') we're touched* full of pink colours everywhere~ but i only took little.. i found another blog that as lots of hello kitty cafe photos here. the price here was expensive, so we only bought two cups of latte. but when we're here, the upstairs was closed :(( so we didn't see other attractions in the cafe like the blog i linked.
ps. if at the end of the day you still hungry, like us after went to this cafe, just buy instant rice and order fried chicken with friends :)
Day 9 LAST DAY :((
Unhyeongung Palace (Euljiro 4 ga st, line 2 or 5 exit 4)
we haven't try to wear hanbok until the last day.. before, we saw the hanbok rent price above 6000won for half day/ one day. we only wanted to wear hanbok for photo, so we searched and found that in this palace there's hanbok rent only for 2200won (free palace entrance fee). we only needed to put our belongings (like backpacks, hats, etc) there and just changed then. we could choose lots of hanbok types (there's also man hanbok here). the rent was only for 20 minutes but i think it's enough because we only want to take photos (and it's hard to walk with hanbok, we must lifted the skirt).

"haessal nun busin garosugil.."
"The sunny and dazzling Garosugil.."
garosugil is a place known for the clubs and high class stores. we actually went here because of the line cafe, but of course to look around too :p there was also a famous patbingsoo store here, i forgot the name, but you will passed the street on the way to line store. we didn't buy the bingsoo because it was a windy night *so cold*. we actually have went to the line store in myeongdong, but because what we look for was sold out in myeongdong, we went here hehehehe. the line store here wasn't as crowded as myeongdong store. it was a little bit bigger i think.
this is the direction to go to line store from the sinsa st exit: (taken from link here)
Sinsa Station Exit 8, walk straight towards Garosugil street. Turn left at It’s Skin to find yourself at Garosugil Street. Continue to walk straight for about 8mins, you will find yourself at Line Friends Store shortly, and see the gigantic bear welcoming you! :)

Day 8
Gwakjang market (Euljiro 4 ga st, line 2 or 5 exit 4)
we heard that this market is the heaven of street food, so we decided to go early to the market to have breakfast here. yesss, there's lot of street foods here.. we were so happy to see the scenery. but because we are moslem, we couldn't just try everything. i personally think that lots of these stalls sell blood sausages, porks, and other haram products. at first we wanted to try the live octopus. but it was pricey so we didn't. at the end, we bought something like bakwan, called bindaetteok. the taste was delicious but i think bakwan is better *lol of course home food taste best*. the price was 2500won. we only buy one for 5 of us. we saw the red bean porridge stall, but none of us really want to try it so we let it pass (i thought about 'bubur kacang ijo' when i saw this food, pardon me again). as we walked, i saw odeng stalls.. i've fallen in love with odeng in here.. so i bought odeng while waited for my friends who still bought some souvenirs hehehehe. odeng price was 1000won. actually, i wanted to buy instant odeng here for 5000won only per pack.. sadly, the odeng must be keep in -20 C :( it won't survive until i come to my hometown :(
other than street foods, there were souvenir shops, textiles, fashions, dried seafoods, etc here ^.^
Kyunghee Univ (Hoegi St, Line 1 EXIT 1)
kyunghee univ famously known for its beautiful building (my friends and i kept saying 'hogwarts-like campus hohoho). to go here, after take the exit 1, just follow the most crowded way and pay attention to the signs around. as you walk, just like another campus area, the restaurant around here serves best price best portion. there were lots cheap stores for books, clothes, shoes, bags, etc too. in the entrance of the university, there's a medical hospital on the right and left side. if you're lucky, maybe you'll encountered to medstudents with white coat here hehehehe. as we walked following the crowd, there was lots of cherry blossom~ because we were in korea in early spring, we haven't really experience full-cherryblossom scenery. so we were so glad that we came here and saw it. lots of people taking selfies here and there, also picnic around the pool while watching the cherryblossom *so syahduu*we heard that this market is the heaven of street food, so we decided to go early to the market to have breakfast here. yesss, there's lot of street foods here.. we were so happy to see the scenery. but because we are moslem, we couldn't just try everything. i personally think that lots of these stalls sell blood sausages, porks, and other haram products. at first we wanted to try the live octopus. but it was pricey so we didn't. at the end, we bought something like bakwan, called bindaetteok. the taste was delicious but i think bakwan is better *lol of course home food taste best*. the price was 2500won. we only buy one for 5 of us. we saw the red bean porridge stall, but none of us really want to try it so we let it pass (i thought about 'bubur kacang ijo' when i saw this food, pardon me again). as we walked, i saw odeng stalls.. i've fallen in love with odeng in here.. so i bought odeng while waited for my friends who still bought some souvenirs hehehehe. odeng price was 1000won. actually, i wanted to buy instant odeng here for 5000won only per pack.. sadly, the odeng must be keep in -20 C :( it won't survive until i come to my hometown :(

do you know Zaha Hadid? she's not gigi hadid's mother.. she's a famous Iraqi-born british architect. you can read her profile here. zaha hadid is the designer of DDP. ddp is modern futuristic building, famous for being photoshoot place, museum, art exhibition, etc. the entrance is free. but i don't know if the seasonal exhibition is free or not because when i went here, there's no special event. because we are not architect or art student, we just took some photos and walking around the place. there's pop up stores for some artist both koreans or foreigners, and also another sm pop up *shocked lol*

Ilhwa Mural Village (Hyehwa Station, Line 4 Exit 2)
the viral instagrammable stairs made us here actually.. the road to the mural village was pretty steep for a village road in the middle of a city (last half road).. you can asked for ilhwa map and how to get there at the art office (black small building you see after get out from the exit). on the way to the village, there's some shops and park too.. but we didn't stop there. after arrived, you'll see some murals, some located near the area and some not. when we wanted to take photo, we must queued and be patient (i guess that's why photos here looked so 'clean' from disturbances haha). we took different way to go back to the subway way. my friends bought korean mochi (i forgot what was the name) on the way we back for @2500won, we could choose which fruit inside the mochi (strawberry, pineapple, orange, etc). korean mochi also sold at myeongdong for @3000won but only strawberry inside it.
Buy something we forgot or wanted to buy -> going home :'(
because it's our last day, we decided to part up to get the things we needed before we go back. i decided to go to myeongdong again to buy shoes (but unfortunately the size was sold out) and i ended up bought more cosmetics lol.. some went to hongdae to look for keds shoes (like i've said, shoes in korea is cheaper).. and some went to insadong to buy artsy things. because my flight was in the midnight, i had really good spent in my last day, i wasn't too rush to go back to airport. we just went to airport at around 7pm from hostel. it took around 2 hours from cheongjungno to changi. When we finished check in, there's Indonesian man who offered to guide us to the boarding gate.. and he was staff in Indonesian embassy in Korea! lucky~ he was accompanying his friend who took the same flight as us, and he was from west java XD
